A TWO-FINGER LEVER ISN’T SIMPLY A SHORTER LEVER.
A true two-finger lever is designed around reach, travel and clearance so that the fingers operating the clutch or brake can do their job while the remaining fingers maintain their relationship with the handlebar.
That difference affects much more than lever length. It influences how the rider holds the motorcycle, how readily the controls can be accessed and what happens to the fingers that remain around the grip.
We created six short demonstrations to show why that matters.

More fingers can feel like more control. But holding on tighter is not the same as riding with more control. A full-hand grip can draw the elbows in and connect the rider more rigidly to the motorcycle. Two-finger control helps the rider remain open, loose and precise while the motorcycle is allowed to move underneath.

BRAKE READY BEFORE YOU NEED IT
HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU LOSE BEFORE BRAKING STARTS?
With all four fingers around the grip, the braking fingers first have to move from the handlebar to the brake lever before braking can begin. In our slow-motion sequence, that movement took 0.31 seconds. At 100 km/h, the motorcycle travelled 8.6 metres before the brake lever moved. With the braking fingers already at the lever, that extra movement is removed.

Control of the motorcycle begins with the stability of the rider’s hands. When the hand loses its reference point, throttle modulation becomes inconsistent, brake inputs become abrupt, and the rider begins reacting instead of deciding.
In technical terrain or at low speed, this often appears as hesitation, over-correction, or sudden changes in momentum.
Two-finger clutch and brake levers control provides a stable reference point from which the rider can manage clutch and brake inputs without disturbing grip integrity.
By maintaining structure in the palm while applying input with the index and middle finger, the rider is able to:
Retain throttle stability under braking
Modulate clutch engagement progressively
Avoid delayed reactions that often lead to instability

FAQ's & Things to Know
Original Equipment Manufaturer (OEM) Levers
The design of the Wild@Heart levers requires the transfer of all the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) lever inner components over onto the Wild@Heart levers, you will therefore need the complete original lever including the plunger, springs, adjuster knobs, everything as it comes off the bike. The bike will not “realise” that different levers are installed because the original inner components that make contact with all the switches, ensure it does not interfere with the functionality of the bike controls.
What kind of adjustability will the Wild@Heart shorties offer?
The Wild@Heart levers offer the same adjustability as the OEM levers because it uses all the OEM inner components including the adjuster knob.
What colour levers are available?
All our levers are available in natural anodized Silver and in Black. We also do the KTM levers in Orange. The Black and Orange levers are cerakoted, which provides a thin layer, that does not interfere with the smooth functioning of the levers and as an added bonus has an amazing finish.
Do the levers come with fitment instructions?
All our levers have complete fitment instructions in pdf format. We recently stopped the printing of the lever instructions to reduce our carbon footprint. You can download the fitment instructions directly from our website by simply searching for your motorcycle, and then downloading the instructions to your computer.
How do I place an order?
We do not have an online shop and prefer to interact with our customers directly and in person. Why can’t I simply use two fingers on my OEM lever?
You can operate an OEM lever with two fingers, but that does not make it a two-finger lever. The OEM lever extends across the hand and, as it travels toward the handlebar, can interfere with or pinch the fingers remaining around the grip. A true two-finger lever is designed around reach, travel and clearance so the lever can complete its required movement without interfering with those fingers.
Why is a short lever not necessarily a two-finger lever?
Short describes the physical length of the lever. Two-finger describes how the lever is designed to be operated. A true two-finger lever must provide the correct reach, travel and clearance for two fingers to operate the control while the remaining fingers stay around the grip.
